Current Events > Break out of prison episodes are always so stupid

Here's the entire plot every time:

• Someone gives a lot of exposition along the lines of "this is the highest security, ultimate fortress, no one has broken out of it in 900 years"
• It's probably under a lake or in a volcano or in a bunker at the centre of the earth
• Main character: "and we're going in and we're coming back out"
• The entire plan is shitty to begin with and only a toddler would think it's a good one
• Literally everything goes wrong and at least one person ends up captured and the getaway plan is foiled
• Now they're all stuck in a maximum security fortress in exactly the same situation as every prisoner ever
• Somehow through a series of massive strokes of luck they manage to just basically run out like a day later with zero strategy while getting chased
• Turns out ultimo fort knox was ran by idiots, had almost zero security and could be foiled by 3 whacky but determined kids

This also goes for the entire plot of Prison Break

it's been a long time since I've seen Prison Break, but iirc, it at least felt a bit earned (the first season, at least).

but it was BS when they followed up with him and his crew doing a second breakout in a different prison.

Musical episodes suck and literally everyone thinks so. I wish showrunners would learn this.

Yeah, musical episodes are usually bad. Xena had one good song in one of 'em, though, mostly because of its "Heffalumps and Woozles" feel. (spoilers?)
