To my knowledge only the Japanese Death Note live action movies are as faithful to the source material, the 5 Rurouni Kenshin movies always rank high for quality and faithfulness to the original work. Yes the guy who wrote the manga was caught with child pornography, he is a fucking scum bag but his work on Kenshin is a "separate the art from the artist" thing for me.
