I really like this chick and I hope we meet again but she would do this thing where instead of laughing, she verbally exclaimed "tee hee!" at a high pitch. That could get annoying fast.

I knew a girl who did that and I eventually said "You know, you could just laugh."

I noticed tonight that I say "I mean" a lot when I'm trying to make conversation and I feel like a hypocrite. It's one of my least favorite verbal tics.

I'm the same way with people who use "you know" as a placeholder.

I listened to a guy speak for about 5 minutes and he said it 183 times.

"I'm just saying, you know, that when these sort of things happen, you know, you have to roll with them, you know you know"

Yes, I counted.
