I have no opinion due to lack of knowledge. I think the general opinion is that she is the best.

Too bad she basically just quit on her team in the finals. That'll tarnish the legacy some, but she is still one of the best to ever do it.

On an absolute basis, she is the best ever. Simply because she is doing things that gymnasts didnt even dream of 10, 20, 40, 60 years ago.
On a relative basis, unless she can pull out 5 straight gold medals to close these Olympics, no she is not. Larissa Latynina was more dominant in her era. --- Hello world! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah it hurts the legacy though if she stayed in and took them out of it with bad scores it would have been worse. She still has the individual event finals to redeem herself (if she ends up doing them). Listening to that announcer that sounds like Tom Kenny she already earned the goat title and all of what she's doing now is just extra.
