Do not blame autocorrect when you can't spell a word you are looking for, but blame the human behind the keyboard

Some say that it is an accident that most words have only one letter, and as long as we make sure to never use a word that ends in -r, we'll never use the word "autocorrect" and we can keep on having good conversations about the internet. I disagree. I say that our computer's autocorrect function is not accidental. In fact, it is deliberate and intentional. Think of all the websites you visit when you are looking for something. Most of them just tell you the name of the product or service you're looking for, like this website: http://www.amazon.com/ As you can see, the website is not saying anything about the product. They're simply telling you the name of the product. If they were to tell you "The product you are looking for is here", that wouldn't be a product because the user would know exactly what product they're looking for. What we call "products" on the internet have more to do with the way the web works than the name of the product. So our computer's autocorrect function is intentionally and deliberately telling us the name of the product we are looking for. It's the same way they put the products on the internet: it's not just the product they are telling us to look for, it's the way the product works that is important.
