My brother is willing to gameshare with me and I'm having trouble figuring this out. I was able to get things working on my end, making it so my console was activated as "his" primary and I can play his games on my profile just fine, but now he can't play his games on his profile on his console apparently? I thought the whole point was that the sharer can play their own games while sharing with someone else, so how do I set this up so that he can still play his games while sharing with me?

He has to be online to play his games if it's not his primary console, I believe. Make sure he's logged in. If he is, he can try to restore licenses from the account menu.

So, follow up question. When I get around to downloading more games from my brother's library, will he or I have to do any extra tinkering with restoring licenses or will everything just work from here on? And he'll still be able to actually buy more games on his end, right? Not screwing him over in any way?

The restoring licenses thing only happens every once in a while for whatever reason. I've gone years without having to do it.

You might have to quickly log into his account to activate DLC at times and that's pretty much it. Been doing it for years without any problems on either end ... Copied to Clipboard!

Nah, you're not screwing him over. He'll be able to buy things just fine. He just won't get some of the perks that come with using his primary console, like auto cloud uploads and such (if he even has Plus). You shouldn't have to restore licenses very often.
