i'm only like 30 levels into the trial and was wondering what happens when you hit 60. does it still let you play, just no XP for trial maxed jobs?
im looking forward to trying machinist

You can keep playing for however long you want, you just can't progress the main story past the Heavensward arc.

But I'm only a part of the way into Heavensward, so I have no idea what that's like -- it'll probably just tell you "you can't keep playing the main story until you switch the full version" or something.

But yeah, no more EXP for stuff you get to Lv60. You can keep using them, you just won't be able to level up.

Haven't even started any of the Tanks. Are they fun? I get intimidated by the fact that I have to be on the frontline when I do dungeons.

I've really only been doing DPS besides the DoH/DoL stuff.

I found it extremely fun, managing aggro felt much more dynamic than in any other mmo I played. the tools youre given make it fairly straightforward but still action packed, so generally failing as a tank feels less like your fault than the fault of the team in general. Also, teams in general felt much more cohesive, so if you face a wipe, your group is more willing to try again. Idk, FFXIV is definitely the best mmo I ever played, in terms of both mechanics and player base.

Yeah, whenever a team I'm in die in a dungeon, we just discuss what we need to focus on and do it again. Typically, it's just to someone losing connection, though, since the dungeons usually aren't super hard in the first place.

But yeah, it's a real well polished mmo. I'll def try Tank then.

I dunno if anyone knows, but is there an easier way to level up your backup classes besides just redoing dungeons over and over again? Leveling up DoH/DoL is super easy due to the grand company supply missions, but I can't find any convenient way to grind the combat classes.

Depends on your class different stuff is good for leveling. Spam high level dungeons if you have a party
