Now that I know what happens later, season 1 is my favorite because of all the foreshadowing and how the story sets itself up to blow your mind later. People will tell you there's a decline in quality after season 3. I thought season 4 was the best season, though. Either way, if you want to have a stopping point before the whole show implodes on itself, the end of season 4 ties up quite a few things nicely, and is a good stopping point. There is a lot of really terrible things in this show and i honestly believe nobody should watch a show like this.
