Yea I guess so. If I had a cool achievement I would want to share it within a community. I would never want it shared nationally personally. I dont like all that attention.

I can do maybe 5 perfect form ones, and about 9 with all kinds of cheats. But I can do about 50 pushups. Pullups just suck.

That is a lot of weight for those exercises. But with daily pushups, I went from 25 at once to 50 at once in about 3 months. Amazing how fast that can improve so I bet you could improve.

No, the 3-second dead hang is what actually helped him. He purposely does that to ensure he gets consistent rest. If he were to rush pullups all in one-go, he'd likely be able to pump out only 40 or so before fatiguing.

The higher the reps, the more it comes down to mentality and endurance

Yeah I was doing pushups for awhile and was able to work my way up to 20. My whole upper body started getting pretty jacked and it was going well, but then I fell off during the pandemic when I was home-schooling my kid every day. Now I can do like 10

I dont think comparing a guy who took 11 minutes and a guy who took 1 minute to do the same thing (a chin up, no matter how technical you want to get he met the Guinness requirements for that) is fair.

The record is most chin ups in a minute

Yeah, TECHNICALLY that's still a counted chin-up but it's effin dumb. No one chins up like that. The guy was just pushing the requirement limits to the max by doing wide hand grips (thus shortening distance to bar) and looking up as high as he could

he'd only do 40 or so if he wasn't doing that neck stretch and ridiculously wide grip.
also he was allowed to rest on the ground regardless of reps.

Doing as many pullups as you can in a minute comes down to just trying a hax technique like the guy did and drinking tons of redbull beforehand.
