I'm fine with that. The story of Street Fighter X Tekken would be kind of difficult to follow up anyway given some of the endings. Besides I feel the Tekken universe didn't benefit the Street Fighter universe as much as the vice versa.

They were giving an excuse about 7 being too successful to detract from, but if 7 wasn't successful they'd use that as an excuse for not having it. Really, they should have confirmed it was dead ages ago.

SFxT being bad killed the hype. Also, there wasn't much hype to begin with since lots of people didn't know the difference between the two games and just throught it was SFxT.

SFxT wasn't bad. The main thing that killed it were the pay to win DLC gems and Capcom cutting part of the initial roster(Like 12 characters or so) to sell back to players as DLC.

It wasnt much gameplaywise either and had literally one of the worst comeback mechanics ever in a fighter.

They outright told them in a meeting that it would be cracked, and the Japanese employees literally responded with "why would they crack the game? That's illegal!"

And then Capcom Japan rescinded and agreed to remove it, but not only did this alone delay the game, but Capcom Japan had the US marketing team take the blame for its delay.

You didnt have to use the gems and just played the game straight.

The disc contained 110% of the game. You paid for 100% and had to pay for 10% more. It was not 90% of the game with the remaining 10% being an extra cost. However they were distributed, those twelve characters were always going to be paid dlc.

and Harada is just one of the three directors for Tekken 3.

also the matches almost always ended in timeouts because of how much gray life you got before swapping out, i dont remember a snap back ability being in the game, so if you dont kill the opponent in one or 2 combos, the character they swapped out will gain back way too much health

they only fixed that issue through patches later on by making the universal throw take away all the gray health iirc but by then the game was basically dead. Oh and also gems.
