Fucking finally. Due to republican sabotage, this is the third time in two weeks it's been brought to a vote before the senate (house finally passed it the other day)

Berthel, man...that QANON sticker on his state issued auto should have done him in. Buttwipe, he is. And the number state senators who evidently couldnt even be bothered to show for this vote is ridiculous. The fact that our democrat majority allowed themselves to be bullied by the Republican miniority for what, going on 6 years now? Finally grew a fucking pair and on their big boy pants is pathetic.

Regardless, thank god this state finally got their head out of their ass and entered the 21st century on this issue. So what this means is totally legal up to 1.5oz on your person and 5oz in a car or home and goes into affect July 1st. Edibles legal. Home grows for rec smokers will be in 2023 and medical smokers in 2022. Dispensaries should be open in may 2022.

I see TX legalizing it before states like Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, basically a bunch in the bible belt.

So I have a question for my texas bros, a while back I was told that the big liquor industry was able to get legislation passed that made microbrews either super hard to sell, or impossible to sell in the state, is this true?

Yeah Texas will do it long before TN. In TN I had a judge compare a pipe - just a pipe - to a rabid dog.

And I bet he went home, prayed to god for giving him a powerful position and finished off his day with a few fingers of whiskey to "chill out".

It's been decriminalized for a few years now in CT, but this vote makes it legal and allows for home grow/dispensaries to open up.

One of my best friends smokes it because it helps with her chronic pain, so I'm glad it will soon be easier for her to come by. Maybe she could even get into growing her own...
