Set aside some time to watch this one, it's the finale. We come up to the final choice: do we, as the player, disconnect from Shinichi and choose to be with Aoi...or resume the role of player character and be with Miyuki? I think the choice is obvious for me after what happened, but...

Since this is the finale, I'll give my thoughts. I really liked this VN! Quite a slow burn before things got interesting but the characters were believable and well-written for the most part. I can see the influence DDLC got from this game. Miyuki was my favorite of the two girls until...well, shit hit the fan. Either way, really good and lengthy VN and I'll definitely keep an eye on other ones this company has made. Jast, I believe? Of course, I've got plenty of others I still want to play through, but that'll be for later.

Jast is the translation company, not the original writers. the company name you're looking for is nitroplus. that said, I think jast is the only company that's translated nitroplus games(?? could be wrong here) and also even within a company there's multiple writers and directors and stuff so there's no guarantee something else from them will be too similar

I really like the presentation of the final choice and the scene leading up to it, it's so cool.

if you haven't yet, I recommend opening up the game again and idling on the title screen, which eventually plays the opening movie. also check out the gallery in the extras menu. well, and of course, if you didn't notice, look at the new title on the title screen :p

oh, one more thing to try: start a new game from the title screen

Ah right, Jast was the translation, lol. I don't think I showed it on the video, but off-screen I did view the opening movie. IIRC it changes so that it only has the girl you chose at the end, right? I don't think I tried the new game thing, but I assume it just plays the ending you chose again, since I read you have to reset the files or something in order to be able to start fresh.

I bought it but haven't played them yet. I'm actually a relative newbie to the entire series, only played the first few cases of the first game a really long time ago. So that'll be fun to get into!

Oh, do you have access to the Phoenix Wright games? GAA has no plot relation with PW so you can play it without playing PW but PW is more beginner friendly since they're shorter and snappier and the cases are more straightforward. GAA is actually a lot about subverting the common tropes in the original PW games and also longer.

Yeah, I also bought the PW trilogy on Switch, so they're there whenever I'm ready for them.

Oh, lol. Well, I've been working on trying to finish Xenoblade and Hyrule Warriors (not Age of Calamity) and I might do either Danganronpa or Deadly Premonition after that.

Yeah. I haven't even begun to record any other games since Xenoblade takes up so much harddrive space. I've currently got 450GB of Xenoblade footage.

Hard to tell, maybe around 10-15 hours? It's all a bunch of smaller videos that added up over time as I haven't had a chance to use them yet.

Weird, I don't think that should be 450 GB though. 1 hour is usually about 1 GB isn't it?

It's just my recording settings. When I record for an hour it takes up approximately 15 GB. Maybe it's just inefficient and I don't need to have such high quality for a Switch game, lol.
