I like it, but I legit think the main story is too long. Witcher 2's main story length was about right for me.

I'm not sure how I feel about it as an open-world, though, since trying to visit every marker can burn you out.

but its characters and some of its side-missions are well-written, and its overall story is pretty decent.

I also like how even though you're this badass witcher (maybe one of the best to ever live), you still feel like you're a part of the world rather than being the center of it.

It's very easily a 10/10 game for me. Worth at least trying. And I wont give a game the 10/10 praise often.

Some say it's overrated but I feel like it's pretty fairly rated. It IS better to go in with some knowledge of who the characters are but not required as you get enough context to figure everything out.
