Not really no.

Unless the new job will lead to a much better third job than your current job will

Fuck no. You'd, at best, barely be getting any more money and you'd basically sacrifice 1/17 of your day, assuming 7 hours of sleep.

What is your average shift time multiply that by $1 and you'll make that much more per shift. Then find out the average cost of additional gas used to travel. If that is less than the amount you make with your increased rate then financially it makes sense.

That said there are other factors as well like how much do you value 40 minutes of your free time? Or how much do you value your contribution to environmental pollution.

depends if the new job has better potential for raises, or insurance, or stuff like that.

1 dollar an hour is 2000 dollars a year.

Yes. I am of the opinion that a person should claw and scratch for every $1 per hour they can get. Moving up in your career guarantees that you continue to make more and more.

$1 an hour extra now means you can ask for $2 an hour more the next time you want to hunt for a job. And in 5 years you can ask for $5 an hour more.

No one else in this life is going to care about your paycheck, but you. Claw and scratch for as much as you can make, within reason. 20 minutes more on your commute is "within reason".

I would calculate what the average additional cost for the commute would be.
