None of those details should be core identity. Sure I can agree with that.
The individual is not truth though. Oneness with all of creation is truth.
It's division, war, trickery, and lies, that divert attention from such a truth.

Okay of those things you listed, some things are not chose-able, but someone's politics and religion are definitely choices that people can make about themselves-- so I think those things do say a lot about someone's identity, and it is naive to think otherwise. If you choose to be an asshole, you are an asshole.

On a serious note, imo ones identity is more defined by dynamic behaviors such as how one responds to adversity or how interacts with others/makes them feel than static labels like sexual orientation, race, or gender.

Indeed. I'm not into politics because I like them, it's because literally I'll suffer because of them and being informed and able to alert others makes a big difference.

Im going to talk to you straight here since weve been hanging out on the same board so long, but what has given you the idea that people en masse want to be defined only by one trait?

Things like pride parades are down by people who feel persecuted for having certain traits, what gave you the impression they wished to only be known for those things from that? Is there some specific thing that set this off?

Id argue things like Black Lives Matter etc arent trying to say identify me by one characteristic they are in fact saying dont just judge me for one one thing and dont single out one aspect of my character and demonize it

Yeah, there are people who lack personality, so they try to turn those into personality traits. Though obviously someone who routinely faces prejudice may have no choice in the matter, so it all depends on circumstances.
