I rewatched that Joker scene several times just to ensure that it actually did redeem his awful acting in Suicide Squad (My final verdict it is that it was much better, but you can never make-up for that crap in SS no matter what you do next).

I don't think any of the extended cuts were over four hours but maybe I'm wrong. Either way, it's epic scale fantasy and the running time feels more appropriate. No superhero movie needs to be four hours long

i watched the first 2 hours in 3 separate days then finished the rest, it was a lot better aside from the freaking slowmos and ww's theme song

Lord of the Rings; 3 hours 48 minutes.
The Two Towers; 3 hours 55 minutes.
Return of the King; 4 hours 23 minutes.

But you are right, no superhero movie should be that long.

Lord of the Rings I thought was boring in the extended cut, and even then I thought it was like 5 times more deserved than whatever the fuck Snyder cut was lol. I had a hard time staying awake during the Snyder cut, and I marathoned the entire LotR extended cut trilogy. Fine, it's not even entirely just the movie's fault. Avengers worked because they literally had like 5 other movies that set it up. Justice League had whatever the fuck was one movie and the comedy that ran into the same problem that was the other. They were literally trying to make like 3-4 movies in 1, which is why it had to be 4 hours. Still not a good excuse for what it ended up being, and even hard to fully blame Whedon because he was probably advised to make it short enough for theatrical release

movies can be as long as they need to be if they're paced correctly.

with as much as infinity war had going for it, it could easily have been an hour and a half longer and still not feel boring if we're talking the same consistent quality throughout.

hell, i was hoping there would be an extended cut coming out since parts of it felt rushed and everything had to come neatly together.
