Have we seen rigged and stolen elections in America?

Let's see who lives in reality.

2016 in the sense that the result wasn't really representative of the population but not really stolen, just shitty laws

2020 not at all

2016, Its a legal win, so I voted no, but the electoral college is bullshit and the system should be changed. Its ridiculous to have candidates losing despite winning the popular vote by millions.

2020, No.

2020 no. It's nonsense to believe otherwise.

2016 was influenced in terms of a third party (Russia) controlling information, hacking social media, planting stories, etc, but the actual votes were legitimate, I believe. Falsely informed and heavily manipulated, but legitimate.

No. While both almost certianly had some small-scale voter fraud going on - as would almost every election in the world - there's no evidence to suggest, in either case, that it would've been anywhere near enough to affect the result. If you think "Trump lost the popular vote but won anyway" counts as stealing, you simply don't understand how the US electoral system works, or perhaps, why it works that way. As for 2020, I don't think I even need to address that one.

i think the entire "election was stolen" narrative in the media was a projection to hide away from how much consolidation of power was happening in the billionaire class

with covid as a smokescreen so it could happen

that's the most conspiracy-theoryish thing i could at least consider possible and not insane

This. The votes weren't rigged, people are just easily manipulated by fake news.

I said the system is dumb, not that it was theft. I voted no. I understand how it works and why it works that way.

i think whoever came into true power during Reagan is who ultimately stole the last legitimate election

Reagan was a clown but doesn't seem to have intentionally been so. he was just stupid and wealth inequality truly ballooned then. i wonder which families benefited most from Reagan's presidency. they would be the ones who hid from the public eye and definitely had a say in all elections from that point on.

Disagreeing with how it works is fine. Refusing / pretending to not understand it is idiocy. If you fall under the former, then my post was not aimed at you.
