The issue is why are asians in the hood in the first place?

Blacks it's the history of white supremacy thats why they are in ghettos, hoods, etc. Denial of loans, redlining, segregation and more.

Asians? They voluntary move to black hoods cause they get businesses for cheap. Reason why all the hood movies you have asians owning the liquor stores or hair salons etc.

It's why alot of these attacks are in harlem, oakland, chicago, Los angeles etc. And all of them are saying "you don't belong here".

Black people cant own businesses in their own neighborhoods cause they own so little wealth collectively, and they take anger out on the race of people that are buying the businesses in the hoods.

There is definitely a feeling of anger from the fact that many of our neighborhoods are run by businesses that aren't from us. It makes me upset because growing up I've had Asian neighbors yet their kids aren't outside with any of the other kids. There is a bit of curiosity about how they are succeeding but we aren't despite the fact that we're in the same neighborhood. There have been times when I've been followed in the store in uniform when I just want something to snack on and it makes me wonder if they think I'm a big scary black guy that might rob their store.

That being said even if we do feel like Asians look down on us, participating in these assaults is terribly fucked up. Especially when using the same shit like "you don't belong here" that we've been getting forever. For the media to fuel this Asian vs Black shit despite interracial crime rates being damn near equal between black, white and asian perpetrators is even more foul.

I was referring to the attack in NYC last week with that quote. I'm quite aware of what other black people do (I'm black myself), I know there are issues within our community and with other groups. It just really pisses me off to hear someone outside of the Black American community talk about what our problem is knowing the have a rap sheet longer than a Walmart receipt.

See it in my family as well, the adults not born in the US tend to be pretty racist, but mostly in a non harmful way, just lots and lots of talking and gossiping behind your back kinda thing. But havent seen it go into violence or actually harming anyone other than giving bad vibes.

A lot of ignorance on Asian American history in this post. I suggest you learn some of it, especially since you are conflating multiple different Asian ethnicities with your comments.

Many Asian Americans did not come here with much and arent choosing to live/work in the hood, especially when you are speaking of nail salons, which are from predominantly Vietnamese Americans who largely came to this country as refugees

I have yet to see the white media do this if you are referring to the non-FoxNews mainstream media. If you are referring to conservative media types. Then yes I agree. But the post you posted have does not have a lot of nuance in terms of yes there is Asian hate in America, and it is often gotten away with because Asians are perceived as victims who will not rock the boat.

It was a national ABC Nightline hit piece. I said ABC 7 because that's what I am familiar with but the piece was National ABC News piece on Nightline. Where a white man was sitting on TV trying to speak to the "Black community" saying Black people are attacking Asians they need to speak to the people in their community to end it and that it needs to stop.

This was a few days before the sad and unfortunate mass shooting by a white man in Atlanta.

There's been a mix of both national, local and alt right news such as Fox, making a concerted effort at vilanizing Black people specifically
