I replayed it about a year ago. Still holds up and is still fantastic. I still prefer metroid prime by a hair though

I first played it on the Wii Virtual Vonsole and I loved it. I think I changed a couple of the controls in the settings but other than that, it's just really satisfying to play and find secrets.

Ok I had to do something before hand, but now I've started.

Ive played Zero Mission, Fusion, and AM2R if that counts.

Presentation is pretty cool, and I like that we get to revisit zebes.

I think the only thing I remember seeing from this game ( due to all the speed runs) is the intro and final boss, no idea about what goes on in between that.

I also played it first time on the Wii VC. Love the atmosphere. Amazing for a 2D game.

So far I've beaten some robot, plant, and kraid

As far as big upgrades I have Varia suit, Speed Boost, and just got the ice beam

I feel like I've gone through 4 or 5 areas without really getting a feel for the area, except maybe the lava area.

Beat that annoying ass phantom eyeball thingy and got the gravity suit.

I assume I'm getting close to the end since I probably have most of the unique power ups

So far I'm kinda so/so on the game. I think the gba Metroids spoiled me
