not true at all. it's a choice. be happy, have fun, enjoy good food and nice things and movies and internet and people and libraries and nature. make new friends, talk to people, learn about history and culture, learn to alleviate other people's worries, learn about cultures and religions and science and have a deep passion for these things.

and maybe even pursue marriage and have kids if that's what you want

and then you'll never be alone. always amazing things to enjoy as you work on yourself and develop yoursel so that you can accomplish your goals. evnetually you will have stage presence as you come into your element. so don't worry about meeting someone who you could start a family with, that'll definitely happen if you follow self-improvement as a relentless philosophy.

That's a subjective approach. It won't work for everyone.

For instance, I have done all I ever wanted to do and learned all I ever had an interest in learning on my own. Admittedly it wasn't a lot of stuff, but the point is I did everything I've ever wanted to do on my own. I'm lonely now.

What's more, I have agoraphobia, severe social anxiety, and high-functioning autism. Those are not easily fixed problems, therapy or not.

The problem for me is not being capable of cultivating that connection again. I've had plenty of relationships in my life, as I'm on the older side, all healthy and functional until they weren't. But the last one did me in for the count. It's been three years since and I haven't been on a single date. And that's according to plan. I get anxiety, self doubt, and even a small panic attack if attention is drawn to me on an intimate level. I cannot rally myself to feel those things comfortably again. I willingly sabotage and abandon relationships just to be alone now and the frightening part is I'm okay with it. :/

of course there is lol, its not exclusively pain although pain is a very good vehicle to growth, it can also be your downfall depending on your attitude
