Though the last chunk felt pretty rushed, I'm glad we finally got a good Persona spinoff.

Also WOW it's just crazy how much of an extra mile they went here. They could have released Persona Warriors and I don't think anyone would have been either shocked or disappointed.

I did feel like there needed to be one more "proper" dungeon - Okinawa and Kyoto are too short. I did keep thinking they could release an extra dungeon with bonus characters (Akechi, Yu, etc) as DLC, but seeing as it's been a while since the Japanese release this is unlikey.

I just beat the first boss and uh, are this game's big fights supposed to be such a slog? My entire party died on their own walking into one/two hit shots and then the fight was just me easily walking around its attacks whipping it for single digit damage with Ann for what felt like an eternity. The down gauge felt like it took entirely too much to break - like a cast of Agi would do maybe 1/5th or 1/6th of a shield and the fire whip felt like it wasn't doing anything at all.

I legit can't imagine how boring and/or frustrating that would have been on hard.

It does take a while - not sure I would categorize it as a "slog" when I played. Maybe underleveled? If you're doing the fire whip/agi combos it shouldn't take too long.

The first boss is the hardest at the time and everything before it is so insanely easy that you don't actually get a grasp of the mechanics very well yet. It's a beginner's trap and is fairly common.

I feel like I have a pretty decent grasp of the mechanics? Like I was walking around her moves no problem and constantly punishing with the free Agi combo into the fire whip finisher and it still took what felt like an eternity.

The stat scaling is also weird at the start. Apart from superbosses you shouldn't have nearly as much of an issue after the first boss.

Hmm, it was uncommon for me to have allies die. That part sounds weird.

I do find the bosses in general to be too long though. You should feel free to use a lot of items in the fights, including SP recovery items (buy as many of these as you can and use them).
