This game is 99% the same as the original Demon's Souls just with a massive facelift. I enjoyed returning to the Nexus and going through it all over again. The trophy list is a tiny bit different though. They took out some of the old ones and replaced them with performing specific actions on some of the boss fights like not attacking any of the Fool Idol's decoys or defeating Maiden Astraea without killing her guard. Overall it's an easier trophy list because it no longer requires you to craft and obtain every single unique weapon or craft a +10 weapon with every stone type. It also tosses in some online only trophies related to helping someone kill a boss as a phantom and also invading someone's world and killing them. You still have to get all spells, miracles and rings though so it requires some save manipulation to get those if you don't want to do 3 full playthroughs. It can pretty much be done with a single playthrough and playing through 4/5's of NG+ at minimum though. I was intrigued by that glitched luck sword everyone was talking about so I tried that out for NG+ and it truly did live up to my expectations. Overall series ranking still unchanged for me. The graphics are amazing and I really did enjoy playing DeS with a fresh coat of paint but the novelty wears off after you realize it is literally the same game as the PS3 version. <cite>Axl_Rose_85 posted [p:950866633] in Aww Yeah P... BluePoint does a pretty good job of remaking that exact game and throwing in one extra secret to go along with it Interested to see what their next one is.
