no orchestral excerpts for me today. I did play through the melody of Moose the Mooche in 12 keys though. and I'm about to run through rhythm changes in 1 or 2 keys

I play the bassoon. Also flute and a few other instruments from my marching band days. But for orchestra I play the bassoon.

Sibelius 2 and Prokofiev 5 are up there for me as well. Saint-Saens' Organ symphony and Mahler 6 as well.

I transcribed Charlie Parkers solo on Anthropology, and it is certainly not bass-friendly. I imagine its tough on trumpet too because saxophones are so uniquely good at playing zig zag lines --- ...
