Its also basically a weapon. You can defend yourself with it or bust out a car window if you get stuck in the car.

Yeah, totally a weapon. And they sell things to improve on the fact it's an alluminium tube with a bunch of heavy ass batteries in it. --- let's lubricate friction material! ~nickels, Cars & Trucks ... Copied to Clipboard!

practically speaking, with the power of LEDs, I'd never want to own a flashlight that took anything but a AA or AAA (maybe).

Plenty of places say the security guy isn't allowed to have a weapon, and in this case, a bat would qualify as such, but they'd be hard pressed to argue they can't have a flashlight. I imagine if they use the same LEDs, the C and D might last longer too. --- let's lubricate friction material! ~nickels, Cars & Trucks ... Copied to Clipboard!

I agree that if the company is paying for it, or if you are a security guard, then the large Maglite makes sense.

I imagine most places if you're carrying a bat around at 11PM and nowhere near a baseball field, you're gonna have some questions to answer. --- let's lubricate friction material! ~nickels, Cars & Trucks ...
