I haven't listened to them really. I appreciate their contribution to music but it's not really the brand of rock and roll I listen to

One of my all time favorite songs!

I knew when I mentioned Strawberry Fields Forever that there was another Beatles song I really liked. Thank you for reminding me of this one.

All within six years bruh

It's truly remarkable. And they were also responsible for innovations in recording technology because they could get abbey road engineers to invent new stuff. Not to mention the fact that a band writing and performing their own songs was actually really unique. Before that you were lucky to have one good sinfee/songwriter, let alone a whole group who could do baeicslly everything (other than arranging).

Absolutely, all the songs before them had the guitar or voice be the driving force but The Beatles made it so its the entire song that drove the vehicle of movement forward

People talk about sampling today like it wasnt popularized in the 60s via the mellotron lol

heres one of my favorite Beatles tracks:

It's not really that weird. They completely changed the landscape of pop music. They are undoubtedly the most influential musical act of the 20th century.

It's okay to not enjoy their music--I don't like Bach all that much. But I can't deny how important Bach was for all of music.
influential on account of the fact that they were insanely popular, so everyone has grown up listening to them. But importance? Other bands were making pop/rock in the 60s, it's not like the beatles did something particularly novel there

They did it better and in new ways that people emulate to this day. The only other band that could reasonably be said to compete with them is the Stones.

And thats only purely out of longevity. I say that as a massive Stones fan.

Nah, like actual influence - chances are the bands you list were influenced by The Beatles in some way lol

Literally no band before them tried to switch up their style and if they did, it most likely went nowhere or was a change made due to The Beatles being in the music scene

sorry bud you literally don't know what you're talking about. i've already brought up reasons why they changed the face of music and recording technology.
