I always document why I intubate. He can make himself dnr/dni if he doesnt want it.

That should have always been the case.

Just like how people get saddled with incredible debt by doctors who saddle them with air ambulance charges while they're incapacitated.

I've lost a lot of weight recently and have a lot of fat people in my life asking for advice. When I tell them what it is, they either lose interest immediately or go along with it with like 30% compliance. When they complain to me that it's not working and I tell them why, they get all huffy and combative.

These are people I've known my whole life and have love and affection for, and I want to just yell at them and tell them to fuck off. There's no way I could deal with this kind of bullshit on any professional level, especially if it's a more immediate matter of life and death.

That should have always been the case. It's their body, they should know what the doctor and nurses are doing.

Thats fine, but dont complain to me that the treatment is not working when they are non-compliant. If so, leave so I can give the bed to someone else who needs it.
