I like quite a few of these. I wouldn't ever want to work in paint to make a pattern myself, but you make the program look "good", which is a compliment all its own.

it's a very limited program, i liked working within its restrictions.

unfortunately i published hundreds of patterns and very few of them are actually capable of being tiled lol. i made some attempts to edit some to make 'em tileable but uhhhhhhh

That's valid. Restrictions can make things interesting sometimes.

To be fair, tiling is usually pretty tough even when you're not using paint.

Thanks! and I came up with the name back in 2003. I would take the name of a character I really liked from whatever Anime I was watching at the time. Vash was already taken so I went with Legato and Vash. It's from the anime Trigun. I don't use this name anywhere else though haha. I started making my own unique names back in high school.

I used to gig but usually what I did was present my tracks with no vocals and once I had their money in my pockets I would feel alot more comfortable about the despicable act that is me singing

That's pretty cool! You ever try learning how to draw? I used to do some water coloring but I think what really helped was the fact that you could just let the paint do some of the work because I totally suck at trying to come up with decent proportions that resemble actual stuffs ._.

Honestly that's a whole art by itself.. the conceptualizing of images or sounds in your head is where creation really starts moving into actualized things

Thanks, those are dogs on my sheets though. I'd definitely have fish or dolphins or something along those lines on my sheets if I bought my own, but the only ones I have my parents bought as a Christmas gift because I needed new sheets and the store didn't have anything like that. (Gosh, I miss going to actual physical stores)

Aquatic stuff makes me happy, but I can tell youre totally a lover of the sea and thats ultimate fantastic lol

Sorry I didnt respond, sometimes I get overwhelmed by the responses and leave my replies for a time where Im not frazzled by a bunch of life stuff - helps me disconnect from stressors and all that >_>

I checked out the site though and some of the descriptions you had - you know, its incredibly comforting knowing you can have an idea in your head executed by someone else to create a harmonized vision of something

I say keep going and keep writing and cooking up some ideas and making some compendium of all the collaborations - I read some of those descriptions you have on the site and I can tell you put some honest thought into those ideas

Do you like write them down first? Or just whatever flows in the head?

Lol me and my guitar are going through a rough patch right now - weve been seeing other people but weve been.. talking

All I really have is this from when I was writing music for my band Frank Jaegr:

I used to send in this recording everywhere without vocals just so I could trap their money in my pocket when it was time to play the show :P

Theres a jam thing on there thats a little more recent that Im super proud of though, like I locked myself in some piano room at the behest of certain.. err, substances and tried to see if I could basically spill everything out of my mind like words on a page

I could hear like hear the sum of all my musical vocabulary just freestyling

basically just trying to see how many words I could fit on two lines worth of space >_> that really showcases how I go about developing ideas so I kept that public for me

Gosh you have no idea how much that means to me as a huge Sabbath fan lol my goal with that was really just forcing my fingers to play and stretch out and do all these sort of gymnastics and seeing where the stutters were. Playing through awkward moments and REALLY trying to visualize words (indiscriminate of which ones, I just wanted to see a sentence of frazzled shapes and words and seeing how many I could) as the riffs I wanted to say.

Was also trying SO HARD to like go against my nature of like.. having a riff land where it's supposed to? It's hard to explain >_>

like if the rhythm is
1234

I would try to land
-1234

and then next time
--1234

Would have my fingers comfortable doing a lick and then just abruptly try to force it to another section all wonky like, that was what the stuff I had in my body made me feel like anyways so I gave it a go. More piano stuff nowadays, yeah -- of course I still pick up my guitar but I've been really trying to take the time to figure out how chords are actually built and how the fundementals of piano can be translated in terms of the physical approach and the musical one. Like I could play an A chord but I wouldn't know what notes are in there >_> so I'm basically going back to basics in both my life and in music to try and catch up to how I wanna feel and be these days
