I always preferred Hollywood Video over Blockbuster, only because it was a few blocks from my house and I could walk. My sister and I would go every week. I rented so many N64 games.

I loved Hollywood Video.

I'll always remember that place b/c of the one time the guy working there, upon hearing I liked RPGs, passionately recommended Baten Kaitos to me.
Some weird game I'd never heard of before and would have otherwise never given a chance, especially since I never had an interest in card-based systems (whether Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Yugi-Oh, etc...) and BK uses a card-based battle system.
Baten Kaitos games were awesome, I'm so glad he talked me into it, totally would've missed out.

It was a good place to work too.

I wasn't the one who talked you into trying Baten Kaitos, but I've pointed out strange games to people back in the day, and it feel good to hear one of us got it right at some point.
