I dont really use emojis very often myself. But seems kinda weird that they zeroed in on that. Some Gen Zers purposely avoid that specific emoji for some reason and consider it dorky and for older people. Even after reading the article I'm still not quite sure why ... Copied to Clipboard!

In Discord servers, this (or some version of it) is usually a good "laughing" emoji; it's acceptable because it's steeped in irony.

It's the whole "once the older folk use it, it's not cool anymore" logic. Like dude. That was cool at a time, but once the older generations started using it it faded out into bro.
