I show the receipt to avoid causing a scene, but its really something that they need to stop. I always feel singled out because I will watch crowds of people go through, but then I suddenly get stopped. Huh.

If the store cant keep people from stealing, thats on them. Dont hassle people on their way out by treating them like criminals. It all comes down to the fact that theyre trying to minimize the workforce and pay as few people as possible. They should have someone watching cams and multiple people walking around in plain clothes watching, but those are paychecks they dont have to write if they just have one person shake everyone down at the door.

If you take your phone out and hold it up like youre in the middle of a conversation, they wont mess with you. Works every time.

Walmart only has legal recourse to do so with probable cause. I gave no fucking indication of probable cause. I just fit the profile apparently. They want to see mine all the time while letting others through.
