His supporters were looking for a win and they got one. And now that smug orange fuck is back in the news again, talking about 2024.

Dislike

Just stop obsessing about him. Let his legacy die.

Oops, can't do that. Need those cheap news clicks....

This feels a bit like when people say "the cure to racism is to just stop talking about it".

The logic of "trying to hold someone to justice is wrong because the system is corrupt, so therefore let people get away with anything!" is madness

That's your problem then.
Instead of logic, you went with "feels". And feels lead to kneejerk misinterpretations like that.

Plenty of reasons to hate Trump's time in office, but he's not the US president anymore. And he's very likely to never be again. His "legion" lost. Battle's over. Go home and stop letting a dethroned figurehead live rent-free in your head after he's no longer in power.

You hate Trump? Congratulations, you won. That should be the end of his chapter. Devote more of your resources moving on and healing the world. Wasting more time on him is the direct opposite of that. It ironically contributes to the extension of "Trumpism".

Bit early for a melty isn't it?

The point is there's a large and powerful lobby that wants to keep him in power that goes right up the to top of the republican party. Underestimating trump and his legion of goons is how 2016 happened.

"living rent free in ur head" is a meme that doesn't work when the problem is real.

We can only hope he's not alive by next election, but he'll grow even more unhinged and some will completely buy into everything he says cause hes obviously the messiah.

The government failing to hold someone accountable for treason is not handwaved just because that person might face punishment for some other crime.

Woah... an actual nuanced post in this thread?

Can't believe it took 4 years and some change to finally witness it.

the GOP is still very much Trump's party. and he may have lost the "battle", but the war is far from over.

even if Trump can't get elected again, there's a very strong chance that someone like him takes over the GOP. and this new figurehead might actually be competent
