It was a free lunch from a top client at my job and I'm absolutely not a picky eater but WTF, Chef Ramsay would immediately tell the restaurant to send this back. Just a sloppy mess :(

Lesson = do not buy burgers from "fancy looking" upscale restaurants ever. Stick with the Bobby's Burger Palace/Guy Fieri-tier places.

What is that like 20 fries?

If you can count the fries, it's not enough fries.

These are parm fries that should've been seasoned with basil or something, I don't remember but regardless, some chef basically sprinkled an ultra conservative amount of shredded parm and lettuce it seems? >________>

This is perfection in its simplicity. How hard is it to soak a moderate amount of grease off? Answer = it isn't.

Duh, but you would think restaurants wisely price their meals according to actual food quality, and not just the aesthetics and "experience".

Here's a simple $10 bacon burger from Shake Shack, which was GLORIOUS.

Even I can pull this shit off myself ie. cheddar burger w/bacon and BBQ sauce

This is why I only order burgers to go from places that wrap their burgers in paper.

Not neccessary BL or McDanks, but also places like 5 guys.

If I'm getting a $20 burger set up I best be eating it on a table in the same building I ordered it from.

Edit: Maybe I'm spoiled by Vegas' multiple Casino restaurants though that have a happy hour to make an $18 burger into a $9 burger. Third shift rules for that kind of stuff.

Its probably cause they had to squeeze it down for those togo boxes. I ordered a burger from this steak restaurant i used to get burgers from for lunch. Normally the presentation is amazing on a plate but squeezing it into that plastic then driving it over to me. It looked awful.

Tasted great though

I blame my photo taking skills and my Galaxy camera then, but I'm dead serious about the flavor and taste. It's quite average whereas that Shake Shack burger was executed just right.

That's expensive, but the burger doesn't look bad. I'd much prefer a burger that's a little too greasy, over some of the burgers I've had, where the meat is so dry that even the sauce can't save it lol.

Cheese too. Whatever is on the burger plus the parmesan on the fries.

And to that point, what kind of sociopath eats a burger without cheese?!

I can get bacon for 6/lb, which turns into like a 20 cent add, and its thicker than that by a lot. Cheese? Not even worth factoring in as itd be less than a penny a serving on fries and its unlikely that cheese on the burger is more expensive than what I used.

Burgers are not expensive to make unless you get overpriced bacon or use a bougie burger blend you do in house.

TC are you on drugs!? That looks delicious

Hey I'm baffled as fuck too by the conflicting construction vs. taste situation here. By now, I'm just chalking this tragedy up to a mistake in logistics ie. the plastic container that trapped all the heat and eliminated almost all the flavoring via condensation.

This could've been gold if it were wrapped in foil or paper but I'm not gonna know what method they go with on my first time ordering from them. For the record, my manager ordered a caesar salad that was like $12 but looked like prepacked crap for $5 in the same style container.

Restaurant sucks.

Thata really not hard, for $20 I could make at least 4 of them.

Meat: $7
Veggies: $3-5
Buns: $4
Bacon: $6
Condiments: $6
Cheese: $5

And that's for all 4. With stuffs left over. If I use what I already have you can get rid of the Condiments and Bacon.

Edit: didnt factor in fries, but thay would only be another $12; and for all 4

Not an ounce of parmesan on the fries instead of not an ounce of seasoning is what chef Ramsay would say about the fries. The burger has more grease than the tracks of a garage door.
