I always figured it was deliberate on her part. It wasn't a matter of her naturally losing or gaining the accent, she actively worked not to have it and then quit bothering.

But Fred nor Drummer have the accent either. I suppose with Fred he's an earther but Drummer has no space Cajun going on unless my ears suck

Dummer absolutely has it, just not as thickly as a lot of other OPA members. Maybe because she worked with Fred for so long.

Also, it being a better RPG might be because it started life as an MMO/tabletop RPG setting. A Chinese company was going to buy it to create an MMO, but backed out when they realized how much it would cost. The creators turned it into a homebrew D&D campaign. Some characters (Miller, Amos, Alex, Naomi, Shed Garvey, and Holden) are based on the characters they played in it.

And I don't know if this is true, but it is something I saw online. Shed is a name you might not remember because he dies in like the third episode. He was the fake medic on the Canterbury. Supposedly he died so early in the story because the player that was playing him had to drop out of the game early on and they just carried that over.

My only complaint was the Bobbi and Alex subplot went nowhere after they got on his ship. Almost felt like the writers forgot about them.

That's kind of the bitch of space travel in that series. It can take weeks or months to get anywhere. I think it was like a 3 month burn to get to the planet in Season 4.
