Sailor Moon is naked during the final episode, if only Barbie-nude

That also happens almost every episode during their transformation sequence. A lot of magical girl anime have similar transformation sequences too.

Nudity without sexualization exists, contrary to what most of puritan American society seems to think.

Man, that's a high compliment coming from you; the king of shit topics himself.

Like, I know anime/cartoons take some liberties with character design and anatomy, etc. But the fuck kind of 14 year olds look like that? lol
I mean... When I was in 8th grade, one of my classmates had DD's. Another girl had thicker hips than most adult women. So, some girls do fill out kind of early lol.

But yeah, anime proportions are still pretty over the top.

So which is it? Are Japanese colleges strict or easy? And if they are easy, what do you mean by easy? Are you forced to give them good grades for doing no work? Is it just not as rigorous as you'd like?

Anime characters are always either teenagers or ancient or their weights are insane. Reading FF instruction booklets back in the day was always great because you had regular sized adult males listed as like 115 lbs or you find out a guy that looks like hes in his 50s like Auron is only supposed to be 35.

I think what's even funnier is when teen anime characters have grown ass 35 year old voices lmao

I watch with subtitles, and people give the new Japanese Eva cast shit compared to the old one, but at least the new ones really sound like teenagers.

I've always felt like a magical girl show where they lead characters are in college would be ideal. I've actually been working on developing a concept like that for the past few years now.

Oh yeah, in JRPG's, anyone over like 25 is automatically an old man. They have to cater to their young audience lol.

Yeah, it's really weird since Mamoru is supposed to be like, 21. lol

There's a lot in these early kinds of shows that's really creepy. IIRC, Cardcaptor Sakura is even worse.

Japanese colleges are incredibly easy once you get accepted. This is well known. Not paying attention in class and doing the bare minimum is standard. I usually don't teach, I am a research professor, but yes you are basically forced to give them good grades. It isn't even remotely close to as rigorous as the US. Japanese college are hard to get into, but relatively easy to graduate from, whereas US colleges are easy to get into but relatively harder to graduate from.

I don't care about that part though, I just miss how much easier it was to get undergrads to work on research in the US. My lab won a university gaming tournament one year and I joked that if I could get them to take research as seriously as gaming they could get a publication in Nature.

I feel like this is the anime-equivalent to live action American movies having adults playing high schoolers (i.e. Mean Girls, American Pie).

Though in the live action movies, they use adults simply because of the sexual situations the characters get involved in and you can't have minors doing those. That's not really an issue in anime, so I'd guess it's like the other user said that it's to appeal to the show's intended demographic (high schoolers).

This. It's pretty standard. Like even for just adventure shows like Spiderman and Scooby Doo.

FWIW, we do this too.

Remember Smallville? The story starts with Clark entering his first year of high school. Just a normal 14-year-old boy. Who looks like this.

Or like a season later where Lex enters into a business partnership with 16-year-old Lana Lang where she runs and manages a coffee shop alongside going to high school.

I atudied krypton physiologies for years now and hear me out.

The s on his chest represents hope in his homeland. He tied like jesus did represents him as the true savior of mankind. The corn field represent all of lex hard earn hair has been dispersed through the entire kansas crop industries. Krypton male had jet black hair because the jewish prophets also being portrayed as black haired men. But unlike men the women kryptonian had blonde hair that absorb yellow sun light more efficently than black. This is according to batman. More on that later. You must be asking why krypton had a similar dog like species. They dont and this is what is called a convergent evolution. They actually evolve from space faring mammal like creature that find its way to be domesticated the higher kryptonuan likeform.

Nope, the anime stray far from the source materials so far its not even considered financilly viable to do another reboot. And there a whole fiasco of the wrong gender voice that really hurt anime credibility. There no way in hell the anime can continue with the poor reception of ovas
