The more successful the companies youre investing in are, the more successful you are. And the more money you have in the stock market, the more that matters. ._.

Being anti-capitalism doesnt mean deluding oneself into thinking they do not exist and need to survive under capitalism.

Fuck capitalism, fuck billionaires, but I still need to eat bro

Yep. Same thing with getting salary from a corporation, owning anything, and enjoying products from corporations.

Investing in the stock market is not the same as "surviving under capitalism"

Living paycheck to paycheck would be, although that is a pretty loaded statement.

I mean, it is a way to thrive in an unideal situation. Living paycheck to paycheck isnt really setting yourself up for effective survival, because if something unexpected happens youre fucked. Anyone whos not literally rich is just using what is available to them to make sure they dont die.

Do you not understand how retirement works? It's unavoidable. Depriving yourself of a fighting chance within a system will not allow you to defeat that system.

I've always been a capitalist. You can be a capitalist and still believe in human rights. Some things like healthcare and education shouldn't be part of the market.

What determines your class status in a situation like this is the necessity to work. If, that is, you own a certain amount of stock but it is not enough for you not to have to sell your labour, then you are still a worker. If, on the other hand, it is enough but you work as a hobby, then you are a capitalist. The compulsion to have to sell your labor is decisive.

Also owning part of a company, particularly the one you work for, is practically what socialists strive for.
