So I feel like Im getting close to the end of the game. Ive been doing quite a few side quests and I pretty much ended up fighting OWL again in the past. This guy is slaughtering me. He is nothing like the guy I fought on top the castle. Im starting to get use to him some but I only got him to 2nd phase once in about 15 deaths. I feel like I have to be perfect. He is crazy

He is fun but really hard. I stopped using the Mortal Blade because Im actually under 100 Spirit Emblems now. So its back to the Ichimonji. I havent used Fire Crackers either because I feel I need to save them for the 2nd phase. If he is the hardest, then I guess Ill have an easier time with the rest of the game

I feel phase 2 is easier than phase 1 because he gets a couple new attacks that leave him wide open for punishment.

Imo, he's not the hardest, but definitely top 5.

I was honestly holding up pretty well in second phase so you might be right. I completely forgot about using my prosthetic tool too which surprised me. Also, I havent bothered using the Combat Arts. If he amazing in this fight. Dodging the sweeping attack and activating Ichimoji mid air makes it impossible for him to block. Maybe I could land both blow if the Mortal Blade like that if I had more Spirit Emblems

I didnt struggle on any of the bosses for that long, but then couldnt beat the final boss and eventually gave up.

The only one I have been stuck on for this long so far was Lady Butterfly. Apparently I fought her super early and made it very hard on myself

She was the first boss I fought and holy shit would it have been an easier fight if I upgraded my attack once. I guess it helps that I'm also better at the game now, but damn.

Exactly. She was my first boss. I got slaughtered for such a long time. I was afraid to use Snap Seeds so I never did LMAO

I didn't struggle too much with Owl but may have gotten lucky with my timing.

When possible I kept close and used Mortal Blade in his face due to also running low on Spirit Emblems and not in the mood to farm them.

I'm not good at difficult games but I wish I could play Sekiro so badly ;_; It looks so pretty and fun but I'm very terrible at these kinds of games.

Either from crouch or from his position as he moves. Reminder you can turn off crouch in options (I had to during boss fights). You can also try not using targeting.

Because camera and tracking is shit for fast enemies and the only thing that made me lose my shit in the game.
Unless you mean a certain attack in phase 2.

Yea not that attack. Just his general attacks. I would just end up not locking on randomly then my back would be toward him as he just destroys 95% of my health. I just try deflecting looking like an idiot as I take a sword in the back

What is the best prosthetic tool for this fight? Its hard for me to find a consistent opening during second phase to use the Fire Cracker. If anything, I feel like Im leaving myself open. Maybe just the Shuriken to Dash combo is the best?

I don't remember using prosthetics in that fight, but when in doubt you can use the umbrella as a crutch.

If anything, I recommend using the floating passage combat art to counter whenever you get an opening. You'll get a couple of free hits to vitality, it deals a bit of vitality damage through block and 95% of the time forces enemies to block the whole combo. It doesn't use spirit emblems, which is a big plus.

I beat him using chip damage after phase 1. Just run away and get like a single hit in when you know you can. Then just don't screw up.

That's also how I beat Madame Butterfly because I didn't understand how to properly fight yet. Also, most large bosses because I had issues with timing blocks. It's a nice fall back if you can't time things properly. The final phase of the last boss was another good time for it.

Underwater headless are much easier than the above water ones. They have only one life bar, take much more damage, can't slow you, have limited attacks that are easier to dodge, and if you apply divine confetti before jumping into the water (can't apply it in the water, but the effect stays if you did it beforehand) they go down in a few hits.

Nevermind that the underwater areas are massively open, whereas two of the three above water headless are in cramped spaces.

Father Owl was the hardest boss from all Soulsborne game for me. I legit had to cheese him and it took forever. Here's the guide I follow if you're having trouble.

Great Shinobi Owl is one of the easiest bosses to me and yes, Father Owl is harder, he has a lot of the same huge opening. I can't remember specifics, but I do recall his jump attack, overhead slash and gunpowder attacks being hugely exploitable.

He's much easier than Kensei to me. Still probably the second hardest boss in the game.

I had trouble with him because of those stupid burning column. It's so easy to dodge into them by accident, then you get oneshot by Owl.

the headless aren't as tough as they seem. you just have to remember to use divine confetti and take a pacifying agent or drink the purple gourd. their attacks are pretty deliberate.

interested to see how you fare against the final boss. easily one of the best in the game.

I beat my first Headless. I then fought the Corrupted Monk again. Even with 3 lives, I found that boss fight to be very easy. Very satisfying deflecting all of those attacks. I guess I can buy divine confetti now
