What is the BEST Final Dungeon in the FF series?

Also, we have our very first Two Way Tie for first place. Granted, we have had a couple go through with only 1 vote between first and second place (see below).
Congratz to Dragoon and Red Mage. Due to this tie, the runner up goes to the next highest vote, which in this round, turned out to be the Blue Mage.
.
.
.
.
"Best" final dungeon is completely up to your interpretation. Best design? Best puzzles? Best Enemies? Best Final boss awaiting you at the end? Your call. Take a vote based on your own decision... but maybe tell us why you voted what you voted? That would be neat.
.
.
.
.

FF12 has a Final actual dungeon, and then later a much shorter linear "dungeon" (the bahamut) that leads to the final boss. I'm unsure which of these would conclude as the final dungeon for this game so I left it out. Consider it an "Other" vote should you decide to vote for it.

Awww fuck. Some people are going to vote on the first two suggestions and never tell me which one. I guess this means that if somehow either of those win, I will count WHO posted what they voted for ITT and the rest I'll just assume went one way or the other.

In other words, if we get 23 votes on "FF1-3: The Chaos Shrine, Pandemonium, The World of Darkness" and then ONLY ONE poster comes in here and says "Hey Dog, I voted for Pandemonium" Then Pandemonium now has 23 votes.

So do us all a favor and just let us know which one you picked, assuming it's not singled out in a result.

I hate all final dungeons. I find they're overblown, convoluted, and take way too long to get through. To that end, I'll use music as the deciding factor for favourite final dungeon.

...

I can't remember ever being impressed by any final dungeon music, either. Well, shit. Voting Kefka's tower, then. I like the way its format and bosses actually play into the world balance itself. They don't seem to just be randomly generated just because they look cool. The thing is also composed of the shattered remains of Vector, which is cool.

Anywho, FF6. Not fond of the look/atmosphere of Kefka's Tower or anything, but the split-party mechanic does it for me.

The last half of Lunar Subterrane is actually a personal favourite of mine, because I love the music that gets played. It hypes you up to let you know shit's about to get real, real quick.

Side Bar. This is one of the reasons I LOVE Trails the 3rd so much. They do the same Split Party mechanic in a few dungeons in the game so you get two separating story arcs. I love it.

FF6, because of the split party mechanic that culminates in all your party going after the final boss in a sequential, multi-stage fight.

There's only a small handful of final 'dungeons' in fantasy adventure / RPGs that I actually, genuinely enjoyed; in fact the only three that immediately come to mind are Hoover Dam from Fallout: New Vegas, Hyrule Castle from Breath of the Wild, and Kefka's Tower. Split-party mechanics, callbacks to earlier areas / monsters of the game due to it being the amalgamated ruins of Vector, good soundtrack. Getting to whoop on the formerly-impregnable Guardian was a nice treat, as well as finally getting to face off against the Warring Triad (not to mention also being able to put a ribbon on the 8 Dragons quest). Really felt like a culmination of the adventure up to that point, and not just a 'let's get this out of the way so we can see the ending cinematic.'

FFMQ. It's a decent use of reused graphics, gets a "preview" way before going there at the end, and there's no obligation to do it all in one run.

I mean we've already surpassed it. FF4 TAY has 22 final party members and has a boss fight where you have to gear up 3 parties of 5.

What sets it apart is that FF 6 was designed for the split-party mechanic much better than those misguided moments in which FF 7 and 8 attempted it. 7 and 8's combat / character strength relied heavily on Materia and GF / Spell Junctions respectively, and it didn't make sense to gimp you main party by splitting up these resources evenly between all available party members. FF 6 didn't have that problem, as combat abilities were innate to the character and Espers weren't nearly as essential for actual combat (and were much more plentiful and easier to swap out).

FF6 - Kefkas Tower. I loved all of the moments in that game where you had to split off into multiple parties. The moogle fight in Narshe, the Kefka fight in Narshe, the Phoenix Cave... thought those were all a lot of fun, and Kefkas Tower was no exception.

FF4 - Lunar Subterrane is a close second. Having the Red Wings theme blasting the whole time, the number of boss fights (many optional for super weapons), the last few screens with the glass flooring, the core in the background, and the change to the Giant of Babil music... it just feels like something important is about to happen.

Early FF dungeons are boring and annoying.

I haven't beat Kefka's Tower yet and unlike many itt I don't like splitting my party up.

Northern Crater is what I'm most familiar with, but even that was kind of annoying.

FFVIII is the game I love to hate. Ultimecia's castle was great, though. Despite Ultimecia being my least favourite boss.

Been ages since I finished FFIX so I can't really remember Memoria. (lol?)

I voted Sin. FFX is a top 3 for me and I like how you have to fly the airship into him which hasn't been done before and it ends with one of my favourite bosses.
