Started playing today on base PS4 and I'm fairly "meh" about it so far. I like the viking side of things but just feels like more of the same and nothing new to get excited over. I'd hoped for a 8/10 game I'd be enjoying it more.

I almost started this game today as well but decided to wait, since Im getting Ys 9 on Tuesday and dont want to start something new and stop to play something else

I put in about 15 hours, cleared two story areas in England, and then set it aside for Yakuza... I really haven't felt compelled to go back to it. Odyssey had a real mechanical hook to it with its loot and abilities; Valhalla lacks that same pull for me
