Having a degree doesn't entitle you to higher pay. Any fuck nut with half a brain can hammer out a degree with a bit of perseverance.

Teachers are horrifically underpaid across the country. This drives talented people away from the field en masse.

Not gonna call myself talented, but I legitimately ragequit out of an education major. Had an incident that highlighted how awful they're treated and I decided, "Fuck this, I'm not putting up with this crap for $30k/yr." Dropped all my education classes, changed my major, and never looked back. It's fucking criminal how little teachers get paid considering all the education they get, how much work they put in, and how underappreciated they are. Just look at how many parents had nuclear meltdowns trying to teach their kids during the pandemic. Now imagine doing that with thirty kids at once for seven hours a day.

That's justa bit less than what i make and I work a job where being murdered just for doing my job is a thing to worry about. Also making a bunch of people with a penchant for breaking major rules, follow petty ass rules is stressfull to say the least.

I know youre concern trolling, but doesnt this mean teachers need to get paid better? Isnt teaching supposed to be one of the most socially important roles out there? Dont many teachers need a PhD?
