Board 8 > I finally found Hestu in BotW!!! and I have 350 Korok seeds

I literally have not seen this guy since launch week of 2017. Where he was found just before Kakariko Village.
I was starting to think he was a figment of my imagination.

I found him in the Lost Woods., or rather Korok Forrest.

What should I do? Get as many weapon slots as possible?

Best game ever

Get an extra slot for bows/shields and load up on weapons for the rest. You probably have enough seeds to max weapons out.

I didn't even find Hetsu before Kakariko Village because I went in a different way. But I ended up going to Lost Woods with I think a little over 100 seeds.

This is one of the few design choices I would change if they gave me the job to remaster the game.

Because if you don't take the right path to Kakariko, you can easily miss him entirely

Yeah its not about access to him after youve found him, its about how easy it is to miss him in the first place and never know he exists.

What happens if you go to Korok Forest before doing his Maraca quest? Is he not there?

Why is it taking so long for you to beat the game?

During the first lockdown here I finally collected all of the korok seeds. I used a guide to find the final five of them, which is as proud an achievement for me as it was a waste of time (I knew there was no real in game award, I'm just a perfectionist sometimes).

I recently started a new playthru, I found Hetsu the first time, got him to move to his second location, gave him enough seeds for a Shield inventory upgrade, then went to Korok Forest, left, eventually teleported, saw Hetsu was NOT there a few hours later, went BACK to his second location, didn't get an upgrade, left, got more seeds, went BACK to his second location AGAIN a few hours later, he was GONE, went to Koro Forest and he was there

Needless to say a very bad design decision in an otherwise good game

I play this game to relax, just exploring the world looking for whatever and seeds.

I turned off all the notifications on where to go for the main quest. I don't even download the area's map until I've explored most of it. And I try to do everything I can in one area before going to the next (Without looking anything up).

I've stumbled upon towns and the divine beasts. Seeing that mammoth in the lake the first time was wild. Heck, I was looking for a castle! lol

Finding the lost woods was also really cool. At first I stumbled onto the dark swamp area having no idea that the larger lost woods area was just next door. How did I find the other area first? I triple jumped the huge gap between the snow area (where the maze is) as far north as possible. Took me a long time to find a warp from there (which wound up being in the dark swamp area)

Also, I've gone on binges of the game for like 2 or 3 weeks at a time. Then don't touch it for about 10 months. That's the biggest factor as to why it's taking me so long.

I definitely wouldn't recommend to play the game like that to a newbie, but as long as you're having a good time, you do you're thing.
