lags for ten seconds at a time, Web browsers crash every 5 minutes, can't even handle apps like messenger or tinder. just crashes all the time and is such a pain to use. screens scratched, camera lens is cracked

I'm gonna buy refurbished since I hate not owning my phone. I need something that t-mobile accepts. Rn I'm on a busted Galaxy s7. could $300 get me something?

Google Pixel 4a
Edit: and it won't even have to be refurbished. 50 more bones and you get a damn good phone for that price.

I mean, you're already well versed with Android I reckon since you had an s7. The only thing you'll be missing is the physical home button but you can either have an on screen back, home and recent apps button or use gestures. At least that's the options I have on my oneplus 7 pro

I mean if you can use a s7, you can use a pixel. They both use Android

I dunno how good Samsung/Android phones are now, but if THOSE are the problems I don't see them being fixed by another Android phone

That's the biggest reason I don't enjoy the Android platform, there's no 'flow' to it - I had that S7 before switching to Apple within the month whenever that was

With those 300 though? I dunno tbh, maybe find the equivalent since you're already familiar with it >_> or a couple of models up (2 before the latest and greatest) - I'd invest in an Otterbox/Lifeproof case though or some brand that makes a thing that goes over the entire case when you get it tbh <_<

Literally plopped in my iPhone the day I got it into an Lifeproof case and I've dropped this from the top of ladders, had dust fly everywhere, had it roll down stairs and it's been totally fine lol

The pixel line is arguably easier to use than Samsung, due to it using the stock Android OS, with none of that crap other manufacturers bloat on it.

That's a strong selling point

Last time I bought a phone that worked with any carrier it was tied to AT&T and I had to have them allow my sim card manually. I wanna avoid that this time

baby if you really feel that way at least look into my eyes and say it :((((

I just like how it functions though, the biggest two downsides being:

  • no drag and drop

  • price

Will you get a reliable machine thatll most likely outlive an Android phone? You most definitely will >_>

I cant argue the price - it sucks

Seriously, it stutters and drops and that just makes the thing feel exactly what all phones look like: a piece of plastic made to feel nice

at least give me decent software, Id argue thats what you really pay for when you buy Apple

Yep. I currently have a oneplus 7 pro and it won MKBHD's phone of the year 2019. Camera is poop but installing GCam helps a bit. But man the uninterrupted screen is heavenly. And I got mine for $350ish

Bro. Android doesn't mean just samsung. And just because TCs phone is jittering after...3-4 years? Doesn't mean all android phones do that lol.

Eh, like I said - I havent used any of the Androids since the S7

Just was something I was completely turned off by, how janky everything was, looked, and preformed

Same goes for Windows vs Mac (I have both lol). Its incredible the amount of crap you have to deal from the software side of Windows to get something to work.. in my case it was trying to use a USB interface, the amount of driver this or that and workarounds I had to read up on to get it to work with zero latency was ridiculous. I plugged it into my old ass Mac and it just simply worked so >_>

that one plus does look great though lol

It's just everything I really want/need in a phone. And it might seem small but really, having a full screen with no notches or punch holes is just so satisfying. Has 90hz screen, 4000mAh battery, the warp charge is amazingly fast, the OS is like stock Android but with a few minor but not intrusive things. The camera isn't great but honestly I don't take enough pics every year to worry about it and installing google cam makes things good enough for the few times I do decide to take a picture.

If I had to give it one knock though, it's that the edges of the screen have a pretty aggressive curve. But that could easily be fixed with a proper phone case.

I don't play it but I don't see why not. Doesn't seem too intensive of a game and the app store says I can install with no problems.
