I liked the 2001 version actually

Not as great of a film as the original one but I still like it

It's ok, but pales in comparison to the original (but the original is GOAT-tier sci-fi.)

I was so bored with the first one. I never bothered with the remakes.

Heck yeah! Its a fun movie for sure, I think expectations based on the original ruined it for some

I saw the 2001 version first then the 2011 version, and lastly 1968.

Give the Wahlberg movie a chance if you ever revisit the series, it's not as impactful and deep as 1968's but you might enjoy the fun

I know right?

Fun fact I think iirc, that movie is also where Burton and Helena Bonham Carter really clicked. (She plays the role of Ari.)

I don't know which one you're considering to be the first one, but the recent trilogy has a completely different feel to the rest of the Planet of the Apes movies.

Yeah it really does.
I like the 2011 installment the most out of the three films of the reboot trilogy.
But I like the classic films more than the trilogy overall.

I saw that one(1968) last, but liked the messages/metaphors/ending of it a lot.

BUT if you didn't enjoy that one, you'd probably have a better time with Tim Burton's(2001) take on the serie(his comedic humor embedded into sci fi action etc).

Her? ^

Lol based on the ending, Wahlberg should have just settled down with her

I'm going to have to re watch the 2011 trilogy. For some reason I feel like the second and third film let me down, but my memory on them isn't 100%.
