I just flat out don't care about graphics being at peak quality, a fun game is a fun game regardless of how it looks. I was still using my 2500k CPU (released in 2011) up until a few months ago and it gave me literally double the performance of a PS4. 60FPS is considered the minimum of what constitutes a "good" framerate on PC. But anyway I'd want a monster PC for Total War games, they're very demanding due to their nature. But the thing to consider here is that I bet you the console generation will last like 7-10 years this time around, tho PS and Xbox consoles tend to just be a flat power upgrade so maybe not. You might think it's expensive but at the same time, you either spend the next 10 years enjoying games at max power or... you wait 7-10 years so that maybe a console will be at a competitive power to a PC. I didn't really get it at first but when I finally built one and saw it effortlessly just crank up the quality to a level PS5/XBOX can't even remotely reach, I finally understood.
