where they're lamenting how they're virgins well into their 20s or 30s and go on and on about how lonely they are, how badly they want to be loved, etc., etc.

like, your initial response is to feel bad for them, right

but then as their topics move along and you get a better view into their psyches and handle on their personalities, you very quickly realize just how unattractive these people really are

like that guy who just locked his own topic where he was bragging about getting hugs from girls cause he couldn't handle the criticism (literally even started blocking people)

same dude made a topic a short while ago about how he was super confident his physical therapist was into him, too, and against the advice of almost literally everybody who posted there saying that he was just misreading signs and that people who work those kinds of professions are supposed to be super friendly and whatever else, he still pursued her and arrogantly told everybody (you know, those people who actually do have experience) who posted that he knew better, that this person was different from the rest, etc.

and guess what

very unsurprisingly, shit didn't work out

like, how does one live to be a 34-year-old virgin, and still possess the capacity for such brazen arrogance regarding things they're both completely ignorant and a self-admitted failure of

like, how does one not piece together that maybe that's their problem

how is it that one can admit to being such a failure yet completely lack the genuine humility needed to sincerely back up such sentiments

there's another dude on here, too, for whom almost literally 90% of his posts are nothing other than him detailing that he's a lonely, almost 40-year-old virgin who desperately wants to be in a relationship and that he badly wants kids and all that

and again, he does his best to make you want to pity him...

... except, that's all it ever is

just non-stop, post after post, perpetually wallowing in his own despair and crying to anybody who'll lend him a set of eyes

like, again, how do people like this not piece together that maybe the above behavior - preemptive foh with any "b-b-but how you post isn't indicative of who you really are irl!!" bullshit arguments btw - is the problem

nothing but him propagating how good-looking people on this board find him

now, he'll always try to act "humble" and claim that he doesn't really see himself in any remotely similar light, but, again, like with the other guy, it's all completely fake - constant said propagation being the obvious evidence here

Why are the men of this board so damn toxic to each other? Is it really hard to understand that the holidays + Covid can make people feel incredibly lonely? Its funny because women get called catty all the time but the way men here thrive on tearing down each other is incredibly sad.

This board has become extremely toxic towards each other. It's unfortunate because mostly everyone here would probably be in a much better place mentally if we were all supportive towards each other.

People that don't have struggles generally don't understand how people with those struggles feel.

Going your whole life without intimacy as deep as a relationship is not normal. Now, that doesn't mean everyone wants it, many people don't, but most do. Not everyone knows what it's like to be unwanted for decades, even ridiculed.

When you don't have anything going on, whether it be from depression, being put in a bad spot your whole life, living in the middle of nowhere but no money to move, etc, it's hard for things to change.

And when you've been so deprived of something so natural, so human, it's only natural to respond in a way that most people, who don't have these issues, cringe and avoid.

Duran and Koga are, in my opinion, victims of a cruel world. They never chose their problems. Anyone that's heard of Koga's stories knows he was set up to suffer, his dad is a fucking psychopath. Duran's severe back problem (scoliosis?) is also not an insignificant problem.

Compare people who have experienced a healthy, fulfilling life, with those who have not. There's a large difference. You can't have the same expectations for people who have lived entirely different lives from most, whether or not you agree with them. It's simple biology and psychology.

This also explains the social deficiency you see (like not knowing if someone being nice means they want you), and often times is paired with depression.

I think that in the future, maybe a couple hundred years, we'll see people taking this topic seriously.

I'm sure someone else could explain everything I just said much better, I'm not exactly articulate.

and while we might not get to choose all of them, we do get to choose how we respond to them

i don't "thrive" on tearing them down

i do "thrive", though, on pointing out that they're victims of their own volitions (not of their problems, but their responses to them) and attitudes, and that they're not worthy of anyone's sympathy - imo, anyway - given the way they, again, choose to conduct themselves

Its just mind boggling to me. Id understand if the majority here were teens but most are late 20s/early 30s. Is it so hard to be supportive to others? Im not just talking about one topic its just something Ive noticed here. Guys just love jumping on each other over the dumbest things.

Honestly, TC you're right. Idk if it was the same topic you're talking about, but there was a topic I clicked on and after only reading the first and last page I realized that it was just a self pity party. I wanted to bring it up, but I usually don't try to be that guy, so I just left them to their pity party.

When you bring up how people are their own destruction you manage to be the bad guy. I learned a long time ago you can't help people that don't want to help themselves. No use in babysitting grown folk.

Gee, I wonder who on earth that second guy is. Anyway, I've stopped having regular pity parties on here tc. Well, I did let myself have one in a topic a day or two ago, but aside from that one I haven't posted about that type of thing in like 6 months. It's really improved my state of mind to not constantly be dwelling on it.

Also, if it's such a bother to you, just put us on ignore. If you don't, then you're choosing to keep viewing such topics and Imo forfeit the right to complain about them. A pretty hypocritical thing to do, you complaining online about a minor annoyance you can resolve with a single button press, while criticising others who complain of actual real problems that can't be solved easily. Not a great look to be rocking for yourself.

I have to agree with TC. Its becomes especially pathetic when they admit they have no job, hobby, or skills and lives with their parents still by their late 20s.

And instead of asking for or even accepting advice on how to improve I'm this regard are busy wondering how their to pick up chicks.

I'm sorry but you should have much bigger concerns by that point then losing your V card to your high school sweet or something.
