Current Events > Apartment manager showing next-door unit to noisy kid family. HELP!?

I need to blow this shit up immediately. Their kids are deadass sprinting around and yelling full force in their unit next to mine. I can hear the kids screaming in my unit as the sound is penetrating from their main door --> hallway --> my main door, that's how loud it is.

What can I do? Should I knock and pretend I don't know the apartment manager is showing the place and be like "hey can you keep it d-- oh hey apartment manager, I didn't know you were here, I just heard all the noise and was gonna ask to keep it down!"

Should I wait for her to finish and give her a call? Or maybe call her right now and leave a voicemail kinda saying the same thing like "hey there is some insane noise going on right now"

Should I smear shit on their door?

She was giving the tour so she definitely knows, but like I know legally she can't stop them.

I actually did step outside, but they never came out or had the chance to see me and I didn't want to stand there looking like an idiot for half an hour or however long it ended up taking

Will consider if CE crowdfunds one for me, I've never been a big music guy so I couldn't justify the purchase anyways. Gratuitous bass drives me nuts.

I think next steps, I'm going to call and still act oblivious to the fact that she was giving a tour. Gonna ask something like what was the noise policy again, and "I heard some insane children screeching and thumping this morning, I don't know if it was neighbors having family over or what" and she'll say she was giving the tour and go from there I guess

Just had a great convo with her for like 40 mins... there are things she legally can't share due to residency laws, but she was able to conservatively say that they won't be moving anywhere for at least 60 days, and even here isn't a given, they didn't decide on anything today.

She told me she did tell them about the noises the kids were making and that it wouldn't be acceptable if volumes at that level continued. I made sure to familiarize myself with the point at which it is acceptable to call her about volume (for example if they're loud for 15 minutes after school then it's NBD but if it goes on for like an hour or more at weird hours then yes call).

She said my bedroom shares a wall with the master, so that's a plus as well.

She gets it which is nice, I straight up told her I needed lines because otherwise I'd be calling constantly. I respect she's in a tough spot because she has to respect both parties.

Hope they don't pick here. That was horrific.
