Even when you humour them, and agree with whatever bullshit is coming out of their mouths; even when you agree to break the company's rules to keep them happy; even when you agree to work extra shifts at the last moment; even when you turn a blind eye to things like bullying and harrassment. They still are no more pleasant to you, and won't even be civil to you.

Why is this, friends?

If there's one thing ive learned, its that it doesnt matter how hard you try or how much you accomplish, you're only ever remembered for the stuff you didn't get done.

I just work mediocre, do JUST enough to please my bosses(not in excess unless I am TRYING to impress). The lower their expectations for your best, the more you can impress. If you're better than your co-workers, that's all you need.

Some people have bad managers though. It happens.

I think the best way to tell is, if it's just one company, it's probably them. If you have experience with multiple companies and they're always like that, the problem is probably you.
