Servers should get a fair wage and tipping should be considered archaic at this point.

They ultimately are, but good luck ever convincing the tipping market to revise itself. As it is, employers get to pay tipped workers less than minimum wage by subsidizing their pay on the backs of customers.

The price you see in the menu should be the minimum the restaurant expects you to pay. No hidden/additional charges unless you want to reward exceptionally good service, rather than just standard service.
