The whole US spectrum is shifted way too far to the right. A good comparison would be Germany's system where you have AFD Neo-Nazis on the far right, center-right with Merkel from the CDU, center-left SPD to slightly more left Green party and far-left die LINKE. In this scenario, Trumpers would be with the neo-Nazis, Republicans in CDU, Biden in the SPD, Bernie in the Green party and we're gonna need a new hero for die LINK, maybe AoC?

Anyway, if you couldn't follow that, neither US candidates are really Republicans because a Republican wouldn't diss their own the way Trump did to military and John McCain (likely the main reason he lost Arizona and the reason for the Republicans Against Trump movement). Trump overtook the Republican party to spread misinformation, blatant lies, anti-science rhetoric, fear mongering, and authoritarian-best-friend-level coziness. Biden is a centrist, and there should be a re-election where there's only two choices: Biden or Sanders.

Time is running out and we need to save the planet.

Biden seems to be fairly centrist, which is better for the entire country in the long run. If you push far left, the opposition will come back at you far right, and then we start getting governments that only represent 50% of the country. The more people that Biden makes happy, the higher chances he has of re-election and the less angry the opposition will be when they inevitably get in power.

The whole you hit us, so now we have to hit you back thing was dividing the people and I dont know how much more we can take. If we cant all come back to center, things will be tough for us.
