It registers it as a controller but none of the buttons work. Only thing that actually works is the built-in mic. But interestingly enough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZ_Eg19f_OU It works if you connect it to your PC to do Remote Play. It also works on the PS3 in the exact same capacity the DS4 does. That kinda sucks but is it really a big deal considering you can play ps4 games on the ps5?

I was honestly going to pick up a DualSense before even getting a PS5 if it did so I could start playing with it. And really my biggest gripe with it is just that it seems intentional on Sony's part. The DS4 worked (albeit in a limited capacity) on the PS3 from day one (you just had to use it wired), and given that it works if you connect it to your PC and do PS4 Remote Play, it means there's some coding that's kneecapping the PS4/DualSense connection if it's direct. --- ...
