I just find it crazy how many people I see in the UK wearing them

Or at least some right-wing conservative variation like "Make Brexit Great Again" which doesn't even make sense.

Got me thinking about like Polish, Mexican, Canadian users or that one dude who lives in Thailand. What do you think about the guys wearing those hats when they walk down the street?

Makes me wonder if post-Trump the red hat is going to remain as staple right-wing image/propaganda like the raised fist has for progressive moments.

Oh trust me the UK is foreign to everyone

They're foreign to the EU, the Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish don't consider theselves Britsh and claim to be seperate countries.

And England hates itself. The North hates the South, theSouth pities the North, the people in the midlands are hated by both while claiming to not be either.

East coast Canadian here working retail. A month or two ago I heard over our headsets that someone in the store had a MAGA hat on, and the general response was a collective groan of disgust. At work a week or two ago I actually saw a guy wearing one. If I wasn't working I would have told him he's a dumbass. Fucking ignorant red hats bigots.

I think it's super cringy how everyone is hyper focused on the American elections. I don't know anything about anyone elses, lol. Wearing apparel that indicates an isolationist American outlook is kind of even worse. I guess it's no different than all the diehard conservatives making $12k a year loudly arguing against Universal Healthcare, income, education, etc. even though they would be helped the most by such legislation.

Politicians have just got really good at making the people fight tooth and nail for their own oppression. Someone in a country that likely depends on American aid to feed it's people wearing a hat that indicates the likely removal of said aid is just another instance of that, I guess.
